The McHenry Community Park at 1249 Bumble Bee Rd Accident MD is operated by the Deep Creek Lake Lions Club. In addition to a variety of other outdoor recreation features (dog park, disc golf course, bicycle pump track, ballfield picnic pavilion, restrooms, etc) the Club has built the Meshach Browning History Center. It contains the trailhead for a 6 mile trail system, a series of interpretive panels about the Brownings' lives and times, and an outdoor art collection.
The trail system opened on Jan 2019 and we continue to maintain and expand the system. Trails and map last updated March 2022.

At the trailhead, there are a series of interpretive panels with a brief quotation from Browning's book, some historical commentary, a "walk in Meshach's moccasins", and a section on where to find more information. Below are links to all of the signs, with full text and audio of the content and active links on where to find more information.
As part of creating an experience based around Meshach and Mary Browning, we have commissioned a number of outdoor public art pieces created by local artists in a variety of media for visitors to enjoy. Below is more information on them
We give you the "drone's eye" view of all of the art and interpretive panels at the trailhead
